The marketing team of 'Community Care Live Children & Families' in the UK found out by researching their customers that a key objective of the event attendees was to network with other people in the industry. The team's goal was to deliver on this need - whcih was a big challenge considering that they had an extremely limited budget!
Manas Datta, the Executive working on the programme, investgated free web platforms and decided to use www. Ning.com to set up a networking site and then promote it to the audience:
'The site has been a roaring success so far - with close to 300 people registered, many of whom are actively participating. We've got exhibitors on there as well, some have put up photos, others are setting up appointments, a couple of them have set up a promotional blog etc.'
It
cost £75 for a custom masthead, and a few hours of time to set it up.
Do you really expect us to believe that you actually understand what you are talking about? My pet chihuahua knows more than you. Leave Britney alone!
